I find it amusing that the only place you see that layout around anymore is on porn sites that were originally copying Youtube and haven't kept up with the times.

Psssh. All the porn sites I go on have gotten ahead of Youtube. WHEN WILL YOUTUBE IMPLEMENT THE DAMN PREVIEW FEATURE??? I want to hover over a youtube vid to see different frames/scenes in the movie.

tbf I think that's a feature that's approximately 10 times more useful on porn sites than it is on youtube anyway

But youtube allows you to do that? Like, you can hover along the progress bar and for most videos it will show you a little preview of what's happening at that time.

On most porn sites, you can also preview a video from the search page without clicking on it just by hovering over the preview image from the video on the page, and a bunch of frames from the video will flash through the box. It's good for figuring out, you know, what's in the video, and whether the preview image is misleadingly hot, etc. I assume that's what OP is talking about.
