I do the same thing,OP.
The silly thing is, I myself never leave signed kudos because I'm too lazy to log in on my tablet where I read fic.
But when the ratio is waaay uneven, I stop to wonder. I should probably stop being so judgemental, though.

After a REALLY bad fic with a ludicrous plot and terrible grammar got the most kudos in a giant fandom because of anons, I've wondered about it myself. Because this fic was BAD in all ways.
