I didn't like the way his integration into the team was handled, but I liked him and felt like the character and Corin Nemec both got a raw deal when Michael Shanks came back.

Agreed, especially regarding MS' return. I stopped watching SG-1 after Jonas left so I don't know what happened in the later seasons, but I remember wishing that Jonas had stayed instead of Daniel...
