Well, to be honest I haven't a clue what all those 'frozen' posts are about, or why they're there.

I think they help push the general threads to the next page once there are enough comments to do so.

I assumed Case has a script that creates posts once given the image content, and that it automatically creates, say, 30 comments, that will be filled if there are 30 secrets but all others will be empty and frozen.

Maybe I'm completely wrong, though.
