OH BOY. If you thought LAST chapter had the fandom up in arms, this one takes the cake! Shipping will ~~always~~ never be the same!**

The chapter begins with Naruto and Sasuke talking about the tailed beasts. Naruto defends them, and Sasuke tells Naruto that he's going to kill them-all of them. That includes him, because he has the chakra. Sasuke then tells Naruto to meet him at 'the you know where place' and begins to sashay off. Kakashi tries to reason with him, but collapses due to the ghost eyes magical effects on him. Now it's time for Sakuras reaction and this is where the fandom lost its collect excrement.

Sakura choose to confess to Sasuke. Again. Yes! Sakura tells Sasuke she loves him, even after what's happened. Not only does she love him more than she can bear, she starts to cry and says that she always knew she'd never be able to help him, but she wishes she could take all his pain inside herself to comfort him. She continues on by begging him to stay, and if she has even a small part in his heart, to please stop and come back. They can all be together forever!

Sasuke begins to shake and then turns around and repeats what he said in 181. She's so damn annoying. He puts a genjutsu on her that makes her think he stabbed her through the heart, and she faints. (This is a battle of manly men after all, a purple butt bow and a guy who randomly takes the form of a naked sexy woman shouldn't be interrupted by some chick!)

Naruto tells Sasuke to stop being a meany and that he didn't need to use genjutsu. Sasuke says he had to or else she'd follow them. Kakashi then yells at Sasuke about how much Sakura loves him and how she just wants to be his and to save him, even now. Sasuke acts like a cockjuggler and says he has no interest in Sakura and Sakura shouldn't like him. ~~He then blares his Linkin Park..~~ Kakashi goes on to say that Sakura is still crying tears for him, even despite all he's done, that you only need a reason to hate someone, not to love someone, that it breaks her heart to love him, blahblah.

Sasuke thinks of his family, his eyes sashay off and he says that Sakura is just feeling the chains of a failed past life. Ooh boy. Sasuke bunny hops away while Naruto tells Kakashi that he made a promise and he has a ninja motto to never give up, yo. The sage and Kakashi then talk about Indra and Madara and how Sasuke won't end up like them or Kaguya because he has known love, just like Naruto.

**There are two slightly different translations online, and the ships are taking whichever one suits them best. Japanese blog reviews and transcripts all point to the translation being correct in present tense, but MP has it in past tense, so NS shippers are holding on for dear life that it's true. Though the odds seem to be stacked against them. (Shame...Sakura seemed to take a step backwards now.)

It IS amusing, in a way, because it means that she really doesn't care that much about Naruto after all this time if his life being threatened lead to her telling Sasuke she loves him.

Kishi insists on writing Sakura shittily to the very end, I see. So glad I quit this mess.

Yeah, I feel bad for the people who thought she was over Sasuke. This must be a huge disappointment, character wise.

Which is why I'm glad all my favorite characters are the side characters. For the most part, he doesn't pay enough attention to them to butcher their characters.

and Sasuke continues to be one of the worst manga characters of all time. wtf are you even doing anymore, kishi?

God damn it Kakashi, you used to be cool. What happened?

Ugh, this chapter. As a Sakura fan, I have no problem with Sakura reaffirming her love for Sasuke or with her declaring it all over again in an effort to reach him. It's not ideal, but I've accepted that her love for him isn't something that's ever gone away or ever going to go away (at least not completely). Love is illogical, whatever. No, what pisses me off is that she's then knocked out and everyone else goes on talking about her while she's laying there unconscious. Having her sidelined is bad enough, imo, but the way it's done is insult on top of injury.

Ehhh, I think that's a stretch. Sakura is trying to reason with Sasuke, she's pointing out that she's never stopped loving him as a means to do it. That doesn't mean that she doesn't care about Naruto. Even Naruto himself is still talking about bringing Sasuke back even after having his life threatened.

Siiiiiiiggggghhh.

Sakura deserves better than this plotline. Sasuke has repeatedly treated her like shit and she takes it. She needs to move on and find someone who doesn't treat her like she's a bug he needs to swat. Like Lee or whoever as long as it is not Sasuke.

I'm not even in the fandom, never liked the manga, and I feel bad for that poor woman.
