But...nope, most people either want Bucky to take over as Cap, or are resigned to Steve's death. I'm over here in the corner denying, denying, denying.
Re: What characters do you feel the most protective of?
(I also kind of don't want Bucky!Cap in the MCU, not in the time-frame that it could happen in anyway, because it's waaaaaay too short).
Re: What characters do you feel the most protective of?
Until then I'm just going to keep pretending it isn't a possibility. Steve grows old! He and Bucky grow old together!Re: What characters do you feel the most protective of?
I just kind of don't like how fandom sees it as a forgone conclusion, that Steve must die because that's the only way his story could end? Personally I'd be happy with some of the heroes 'retiring' if you will and getting cameo's from them in later films maybe as they introduce new characters.
Steve and Bucky ride off into the sunset and grow old together and I JUST WANT THEM TO BE FUCKING HAPPY WHY IS IT SO HARD..Re: What characters do you feel the most protective of?
Same. If people want that...well...different strokes and all that, but I don't get why it must happen. At this point some people are going to feel like Marvel missed an opportunity if they don't go that route, but I just...don't want it. (And don't think it would make a better story then Steve doing something else. I don't always mind character death, but ffs not Steve Rogers.)
Because Marvel. Sighhhhh.Re: What characters do you feel the most protective of?

Re: What characters do you feel the most protective of?
Yeah, I just don't feel like it's a guarantee? Like sure they could do it if they wanted, but I don't think it's set in stone at all at this point. And tbh I wouldn't want Bucky!Cap if the cost is Steve dying, like not even a little bit.(Ugh I know, if they have to write him out fine, but find a way to do it without killing him ffs.)
You make an excellent point. Fuck them man, fuck them.Re: What characters do you feel the most protective of?

Neither would Bucky! And does Bucky deserve to come back to the world, to really come back, have his own agency and everything, then watch his best friend die when he's only just been reunited with him? NOPE. (And of course that's not going into what Steve deserves...which is everything. Steve deserves the world. Imagine how hard it would be for Steve, knowing he was leaving Bucky behind, too. I think he would be glad Bucky wasn't the one dying and that he got to see him one last time, but...no, this is too depressing.)
Re: What characters do you feel the most protective of?
...
No.
No, you stop that right now, I just...
