Same way cuddling isn't? Intimate =/= sexual. You can get pleasure from kissing without it being sexual pleasure (hence why even sexual people can kiss for hours without it leading to sex). I figure romantic asexuals just feel that way 24/7.

Like... making out just for the sensation of lips pressed against one another and swallowing someone else's saliva? Okay...

Sure, I've made out with people I don't want to have sex with, but if I'm enjoying it, it's going to have nice feelings that fall into the "sexual" zone. Even if they aren't "omg fuck me now" variety.
