Maybe it was the "I'll hold your hand, forever and ever!" bit in the flashback that was meant to flesh out her character but didn't.

right. i took it to mean that she was just insanely loyal to satsuki. i can see that she's into girls but ... i don't know. it's hard to explain.

It's not a cold hard fact that she's a lesbian, but it makes more sense than thinking she's straight.

don't get me wrong - i don't see her as straight either. i just... don't see her as a lesbian? i'm not sure where on the spectrum, i feel, she actually is.

she's very.... i don't want to say manipulative. she doesn't take criticism very well and explodes easily whenever someone doesn't agree with her. i believe "emotionally volatile" is probably appropriate here.

there's pretty much zero reason to think she has any attraction to men (and seems pretty disgusted by naked guys too) and it's made pretty clear repeatedly that she has a thing for satsuki. i don't really get why you can't see it, honestly? (i'm worried about the amount of investment in this your friend has though)

then again, the amount of het in this fandom has always baffled me. besides satsuki (and mako's mom) being the only female characters who aren't necessarily queer, none of the guys are worth much beyond a few chuckles. whatever, though, i guess.

i don't think she's straight but i just don't think she's simply lesbian. i can't really explain it though. :\

I don't mean to sound harsh when I ask this because I'm really just genuinely confused, but what is the importance of differentiating between "lesbian" and "only interested in one person (who is of the same gender)" in this situation?
