And what kind of secrets would you like to see more of?

Personally, I like ones where people do fannish things on the sly. Like that Piccolo cupcake secret from May. Or secrets that the maker made about cute, silly stuff they came up with as a kid or when they were new to fandom. What about you?

An original flavor tar season secret. No imitations.

I wish they hadn't been banned.

I like secrets about liking/disliking specific tropes. It's one of my favorite back-and-forths to have with people when I'm discussing fannish things, and there are certain tropes that aren't generally discussed in polite company, even with your friends.

I also like secrets about people taking inspiration from fandom for whatever reason.

Absolutely. Secrets that make you smile.

That can be arranged...

Ones about fannish writing, whether that means meta, headcanons, tropes, or specific fics and authors. The only secrets I really dislike are the ones about "hiding your power level," though.

I don't understand what "hiding your power level" means. Is this in reference to fic writing, or gaming?

I think power level refers to DBZ. the phrase on the whole means to not look like a basement dwelling nerd and appear normal in public.

Crossover secrets. For instance there was an Avengers secret that turned out to be for Based Captain Scarlet.

Secrets that are about the show and fandom, not the poster's own personal drama with a tenuous fandom link to avoid the failbar. Also secrets with relevant pretty pictures and readable fonts.

Secrets about things I know about. Otherwise, i'm not picky.

More secrets for obscure or generally less-popular games! Seeing Mass Effect and whatnot is fine and all but where's the secrets for STALKER or, fuck I dunno, the Shadow Warrior remake?

I like troll secrets, but good troll secrets. Or the kind that fall right on the border between "definitely troll" and "wtf?" Those inspire some interesting threads.

Happy/cute secrets are always lovely to see! (Piccolo cupcakes included. Those were adorable. Also that recent secret about Flavor Flav.)

I don't hate depressing secrets or anything (sometimes people need an outlet or want advice or whatever, and that's perfectly understandable), it's just nice to be able to smile or laugh at a secret.

And of course I like secrets about fandoms I'm involved in. (Though I sometimes quite like secrets about fandoms I'm not involved in, and those can be a nice way to find something new.) Lesser known fandoms are always nice to see too! (I like that we had a Haven secret today!)

~~What I really want are sports anime secrets. (Other than Free! Not that I don't love Free! but...) Come on f!s...~~

I totally get you on wanting more anime secrets. I doubt I will see much for my fandoms since their heyday is gone, but I keep an eye out anyway.

Those are my favorites too! I just like funny or cute secrets the most.

I'm also very fond of secrets that spark interesting discussions about the nuts and bolts that go into making and consuming stories.
