I will! I only get to see him once every few months.

The idea is to get a baseline for a study that might look at whether or not having a tone sound when people enter a viewing room at a shelter will increase or decrease desirable behaviours (and thus adoptability) in dogs. It's still up in the air though.

Kind of like that. Mostly to differentiate between how dogs respond to a "warning" that people are coming to view them vs. no warning.

Do you try to teach them desirable behaviors when meeting potential people? Or does the shelter?

Shelters generally try to socialize animals before they're ready to be adopted, but they won't specifically condition animals (that I'm aware of).

This is just to see if dogs would potentially respond favourably to being primed for the presence of people.
