(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 04:11 am (UTC)(link)Regina is responsible for Regina. She was fantasizing about strangling Snow long before Rumple ever showed up.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 03:53 am (UTC)(link)Think of it like this. A cop kills an innocent person but because it's a cop that did it, it's brushed over. Can you honestly say that the fact that, because of what the murderer was, what they did was overlooked when it wouldn't have been if the person wasn't a cop, wouldn't make you hate that person more than a murderer who was treated like a murderer?
Sorry for rambling post, not the best at grammar.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 03:35 am (UTC)(link)1. Rumple thinks he's a monster and hates himself. Regina thinks her shit doesn't stink.
2. The show tells us that Rumple is a villain who isn't to be trusted. It also tells us that Regina is a poor woobie baby who should get everything that she wants because she's SUFFERED. No one else has ever SUFFERED like Regina. Oh how she SUFFERS.
3. When Rumple does something horrible, the universe kicks his ass to punish him. When Regina does something horrible, she gets rewarded.
The pandering pisses me off more than the character herself. She's an asshole. So's Rumple. Only one of them ever has to pay for it and it's not her.

"It wasn't your fault, it's mine. I cast a curse out of vengeance and I'm-I'm a villain. You heard Mr. Gold. Villains don't get happy endings."

What do you call Henry and Belle?
3. When Rumple does something horrible, the universe kicks his ass to punish him. When Regina does something horrible, she gets rewarded.
What do you call Marian?

(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 03:49 am (UTC)(link)2. Henry trusts Regina a hell of a lot more than Belle trusts Rumple. Which is strange because Regina abused Henry and Rumple didn't abuse Belle.
3. And now you're asking me to feel sorry for Regina because she was prevented from murdering her boyfriend's wife. Regina has a wide circle of enablers made up mostly of people whose lives she's ruined. Rumple has Belle. Because Bae is dead and everyone else hates him.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 03:57 am (UTC)(link)If she didn't feel remorse, why was she crying in the "Evil Queen" ep?
She's just saying she wouldn't change anything because it meant having Henry, who she loves.
2. Henry trusts Regina a hell of a lot more than Belle trusts Rumple. Which is strange because Regina abused Henry and Rumple didn't abuse Belle.
Is that why she got married to him?
And didn't she take his word when he said he didn't kill Zelena?

You said "When Regina does something horrible, she gets rewarded." How is having the wife of the man she's fallen in love with coming back a reward? Isn't that something horrible she did coming back to punish her?

(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 04:06 am (UTC)(link)Because she cries about everything. She cried after she murdered Graham too. Regina cries like normal people breathe. It's another sign of her endless self pity.
And didn't (Belle) take his word when he said he didn't kill Zelena?
As far as she knows, she's holding his dagger which gives her power over him, and she's commanded him not to kill Zelena. And she still looks seriously suspicious of him when Zelena is found dead. So, no, I don't think she took his word for it.

Considering that the entire town is wailing "Oh poor Regina! Marian is back and ruining her life!"? And everyone is bending over backwards to make sure she gets her happy ending? That's barely a bump in the road, hardly a punishment.
To summarize:
Rumple is an asshole: His son dies. The entire town hates him. He has a wife who loves him but is suspicious of him.
Regina is an asshole: She gets light magic and True Love's Kiss with the son she abused. Everyone in town kisses her ass, especially Emma and Snow (the two people she's hurt most). Her boyfriend of one week is now torn in his affections because his former wife (who was murdered by Regina) is back from the dead.
Even the most ardent Regina stan must be able to see the difference.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 04:15 am (UTC)(link)If she was truly horrible and selfish as you make her out to be, she wouldn't have sacrificed Henry's memories of her so he could be happy with Emma.

Yes, she's suspicious, because had the most motive to kill her, and she's not wrong. But she wanted to believe he was telling the truth when he said he didn't.

Because they're worried she'll go back to her old ways.
Rumple is happily married, Regina's past is coming back to bite her and take away the man she loves. Your hate-on has twisted your POV if you think she's being rewarded here or that she hasn't suffered for her crimes.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 04:24 am (UTC)(link)OMG, seriously? She had no choice. She didn't "sacrifice" his memories; he was going to lose them no matter what she did. Ooo, she gave him good memories of a life with Emma. Considering that the alternative was to leave both of them mind-wiped and wandering aimlessly in the woods of Maine, this is the bare minimum.
Your hate-on has twisted your POV if you think she's being rewarded here or that she hasn't suffered for her crimes.
LOL
Yeah, she's certainly suffered. Just ask her. She'll tell you.
She's a self-pitying, mass-murdering, child-abusing rapist who only does the right thing when she has absolutely no other choice.
Out of her own mouth, she has no remorse for her actions.
And the show is going to give her a happy ending. It's sickening.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-27 04:41 am (UTC)(link)you're deluded if you think Rumple isn't going to get a happy ending either. They're both characters who've done horrible things but who the show still wants you root for. Rumple has a long list of black sins of his own, and you're a hypocrite for acting like his crimes are forgivable and hers aren't.

Yeah. Totally different things.
There’s no real point in continuing this discussion if you’ve been reduced to tossing out personal insults like “hypocrite”. It’s been fun!
