yeah, i guess you and anon below are right. it seems so random though. i mean, i can see why they'd say that about doctor who, spn and sherlock, but firefly?

A lot of people had a problem with the whole "whore" thing, not specifically about what was presented but the way Joss and others talked about it. And Joss in general has said a lot of rather gross things about what his future plans for Inara would have been. There was something else people had a problem with on the show (or movie) but I can't recall at the moment.

But I do agree, it's nowhere near the levels that the fandom and creators had for the other shows mentioned, so it seems a little random.

They're random because of the shows people accuse of misogyny, they're the ones I happen to watch. Firefly is there to represent Joss Whedon (and I've seen a lot of criticism of Inara).

Not exactly -- their creators are accused of misogyny, but -- in at least some instances -- I would call it sexism.
