Sort of. I follow a few sites where the sites themselves are fine, but the comments are often wanky as hell. Like STFU Parents - I like the premise, but oy, there's people who seem to think parents shouldn't so much as admit they have kids. And I really hate the term "crotchfruit." (Unfortunately even the admin toes this line sometimes - some of the things she posts aren't really that bad unless you want them to be.)

And then there's cracked.com; I love the articles but don't how seriously to take them. Also, the comments are wanky as anything.

I've heard of STFU Parents, and I've never been there. It sounds like it would make me angry, and probably for the same reason as you. Like, parents who treat their kids like perfect angels and don't control them are annoying as hell, but if the commenting just boils down to angry, malicious "childfree" (quotes used because it can go way beyond that) verbal diarrhea, it'd probably just upset me.

the idea of having kids doesn't really appeal to me

but the hardcore childfree people piss me off. especially the ones who use the term "crotchfruit"

i think these people forget that kids are actually, you know, tiny HUMAN BEINGS and not fucking monsters out to annoy them, personally. and as a trainee teacher, yes, i have run into some truly revolting teenagers.

but they're still people, ffs.

+ 1 million. I generally can't stand kids AND I'm childfree myself, but jesus, some of the language those people use is vile.
