Yuletide-related help, please?

I'm trying to write a Dear Yuletide Writer letter, or at least the outline. Problem is, I can't find much advice that agrees with any other advice. So I'm looking for examples. Link me good letters, please, or at least letters that you felt were decent. Thank you! (The reason I'm over here, instead of of any of the Yuletide communities, is that I can ask anonymously here, and not worry about being That One Person Who Doesn't Get It.)

I'm pretty sure that almost every year there's a post with links to excellent letters -- you could check comm entries from last October?

(And there was waht looked like a very good discussion on F!S just a day or so ago about how to write the "Do Not Want" section of a Dear Author letter.
