Re: ridiculous advice people have earnestly given you
I just, what? Okay 1) I'm not allergic, I'm intolerant and 2) you understand how neither allergies nor intolerances work. Believing hard enough won't make me suddenly able to digest fish, and it certainly won't make someone not die from eating lobster.
Also, I only take polite suggestions on mental health.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-30 02:42 am (UTC)(link)I mean most of these BS cures and advice make me laugh, but this just pisses me off.
(Mainly because my mother suddenly developed an allergy to seafood out of nowhere after years of eating it, and she could have DIED, and I'm pretty sure EATING FISH will have the opposite effect of curing her. Bloody hell.)

(Anonymous) 2014-09-30 03:30 am (UTC)(link)I'm allergic to seafood (the whole shebang) and I have heard that before. I also can't stand when people say it like I caused my own allergy. WHY THE HELL WOULD I DO THAT?
If I'm even around too much seafood i.e. sushi, I start getting itchy and my tongue swells up if there's been cross contamination (yes, I wanted to believe I could indeed eat fish, so i ordered a vegetarian dish at a sushi place. Not doing that again). Last time I ate fish I vomited repeatedly. Ain't nothing gonna change there, sorry.

(Anonymous) 2014-09-30 12:35 pm (UTC)(link)I'm intolerant to soy, or at least, that's what I call it because that's easier than trying to explain that a "migraine trigger" is absolutely no fun. Trust me, people. I try and "bend" the rules often enough to know that all I'll get from eating anything with soy flour, oil, or protein in it is a massive migraine that knocks me out for at least a day.
Idiots.
And I hear you on the mental health advice. *solidarity fistbump*
