Seriously. I'm 10 times more likely to generalize gamers now because of the comments (and I love video games and talking about them). The self-proclaimed gamers collectively decided that the article about how gamers couldn't deal with women was directly calling EVERY gamer, ever, a manchild... then proceeded to be manchildren about it.

The shitty thing is that downvotes are limited and there are so many stupid comments that all the sane people run out of downvotes withing a few hours, so it looks like the majority of people agree with that tripe.

wow. they didn't even have enough downvotes.

it's really sad because on the one had you have people who've been clamoring for years for games to be taken seriously as a form of art/storytelling (and some genuinely awesome games coming out that do exactly that)

and then the fans turn around and just ruin that by being shitty

i'm starting to think they don't WANT any actual artistic criticism of games in case it pierces their fragile worldview
