Yeah, but you'd need to eat quite a few apple seeds or cherry pits to suffer negative effects.

True, it's really more of a thing you should watch out for in pets/small children. Because they have a smaller body mass and therefore tolerance, and also because no human past toddler-age is going to be eating apple seeds or cherry pits probably hopefully.
