Harry Potter

One of the first Harry Potter fics I ever read had Harry befriending a garden snake at the Dursleys and taking it back to Hogwarts with him, often wrapped around his arm beneath his robes. He also went running with Dudley to help him get in shape and they sort of became friends, I guess?

I wish I remembered more, because I'd like to reread it.
