Even if I logged in now, I could be going anon and posting elsewhere. There's a way to prove I'm posting what I'm posting, but there's no way to prove I'm *not* the other ones. So it's fruitless.

It irks me when people assume everyone anon is trolling, but if they're the types that think anyone that holds X opinion must be a troll, they'd probably think that of me with a name attached or not.

Admit it, you don't want to log in because you know you're opinions are so shitty.

I don't think there's anything shitty about believing that race and gender aren't insurmountable obstacles to success, and that they shouldn't be seen as such. It's not easy, but to say it's impossible or futile to try is equally wrong.

Except the anon wasn't trying to "convince" you of anything. They were just making a statement while acknowledging that you have no reason to believe them. You just have an ax that you love to grind around here.

I think you're probably the biggest troll of all right here, and you're just beating this dead horse because you like the attention and feeling superior with your almighty username. Well, I for one am done giving you that attention. I'll leave it up to the other nonnies to feed and burp you before it's time for beddy-bye.

I wasn't trying, though. I was saying there was no way for me to convince the other anon. The other anon might also have been me for all you know. I'm only saying here again that there's no way to prove anything about conversations that have already happened anon.

I think it's pretty clear from tone and manner alone that I'm not that person above. We are derailing this thread a fair bit by now, though.

We're in the thread of one person's rant about some specific things, though. Plus, I did start this response thread to talk about why the original rant above sounded pretty offensive - positioning race and gender as insurmountable obstacles - and I think that got across by now.

If people want to debate my opinion on that, that's one thing, but arguing about anon feels a little too off topic. I might disagree with the viewpoints presented by op, but spamming it about anything like the thread has no original topic sounds more trolly than bringing up the above.
