It doesn't read as inherently sexual to me (it doesn't even read as tacitly/implicitly sexual tbh).

This is a phrase I've heard a lot of women use to describe themselves--"I get along better with older people." "I'm an 80-year old trapped in a young woman's body, lol" "All my friends are older ladies" etc.

Yeah, I was coming here to say this. I could have missed something, but from unless there was something making it obvious it was sexual/romantic interest it just...doesn't seem that skeevy to me?

[Though, tbf, I tended to get along far better with people older than I am until I was in my early 20's/had several platonic friendships with people older, so that might be part of it.]
