I am honestly kind of pissed off with how much stuff they're shoving onto phones anymore. If I WANTED a full computer on my phone, I'd just haul my laptop around. I can understand it for corporate execs and people of that type, but does the average person REALLY NEED all of that?

I cringe when I see people advertising phone mp3 players. When I want an mp3 player, I want an mp3 player, not something that is trying to be some sort of digital swiss army knife.

Maybe it's because tiny fashionable pants don't have enough pockets to hold anything but one cell-phone.

Exactly -- I don't want to have to fidget with the music to get it turned off and then hunt for the menu to turn it back on in order to get a phone call. I like my iPod and my phone to be separate. That way I can just drop one headphone off and answer my phone and still switch songs and stuff.

You do have a point there... This is why I have a rather spacious purse with a nice little cell phone pocket stitched in.

Haha, well I didn't mean the game console part -- more how cell phones are barely phones anymore -- they're miniature laptop computers.

No I completely agree. HAHAH While I understand the convienience of having everything in one package, at the same time, its ridiculous. I have one of those cheap ass free phones you get for signing up with Cingular and as long as the thing can make calls, receive calls, and text, then it's good enough for me.

It's just... wtf, cell phone games?! I doubt those things are as profitable as regular console games, since you can only advertise to ONE market. :/ And yeah, I am also bitter cuz some games I wanna play... WHOOPS, THEY'RE ON THE CELL PHONE! dklsjdka.

You'd be surprised. I'm living in Japan right now and literally EVERYONE ON THE TRAIN has one of these fucking ridiculous phones. And they do not stop playing them. EVER.
Granted 90% of them are playing shit like Bejewled or just texting, but even so... for every twenty people I see diddling on their cell phones I might see ONE with a DS.

It's fuckin stupid x_X

;_; i like tiny phone games, and SE seems to be the best at making them. they're mostly hilarious shells of real games, but being able to hold onto the bars in a subway car with one hand and whip out my phone and play dirge of cerberus with the other is still kind of cool :C it's an even more portable portable.

Yeah, I'm just... mostly bitter that I can't play them. 8D; Granted, I find myself able to do this with a DS or an actual portable console but I know you can't really play those one handed. especially the DS. >_>

Then again, I don't ever take out anything out of my pockets on the Philadelphia subway. HAHAHA.

OH GOD YES. My cellphone is a piece of crap and I only even have one because I don't have a landline. If I want a handheld game they should make it for the damned DS or whatever.

/bitter about not being able to play fucking Xenosaga: Pied Piper. Gawd I wanted that so bad. Reading the script while looking at screencaps is NOT the same.

Someone needs to come out with an emulator or something.

Yes, it's pretty much because in Japan, EVERYONE rides the train and EVERYONE has a cell phone that can make toast and walk the dog. Cell phone games are stupidly profitable because they take almost no effort to make and lots of people will buy them just 'cause.

One of the many, many things that annoys me about Japan.
