38. I... don't think you are? I thought the entire point of the last chapter (I'm going by manga canon here), particularly the final few pages, were to show that their naivete and innocence had essentially been destroyed by the game. Noriko's eyes were "like looking into a black hole." (Allllso I sort of fail to see how you could like Battle Royale and not like the main characters, all things considered.)
