Maybe, maybe not. Can't it be relative? If one person could stop you, that doesn't mean you wouldn't do it (or try). And what one person says can be just as meaningful as what a given work says. "One little thing" can be "one freaking big thing" if it means what the person needs it to mean.

Well. Yeah. But they didn't say fandom, they just said Bleach. So who knows.

edit: heh, well. my opinions have gotten me in trouble before, I don't care if it happens again. besides, I figure it's possible to actually talk about it without, you know claws coming out all around or what have you.

Chickenshit or not, I'm still awaiting my snappy comeback.

Some of use "chickenshits" don't know you well enough to predict whether you'll go batshit insane and stalker-happy if someone doesn't agree with your opinions. So we'd rather you not know.

Why would you assume that?

Oh I'm not saying that he/she will go nuts. It's just that I've had problems with stalkers before because I said something they didn't like.

It was a long time ago and pretty creepy and annoying, but it had nothing to do with F!S. I just get kind of wary sometimes with attaching my name to everything I say. Especially to someone I don't know and disagree with. XD

OKAY. Speaking here not as a mod but someone who attempted to commit suicide.

You're allowed your own opinion, I'll grant you, but you know what? Sometimes people can be helped by something like that. I know, because it HAPPENED TO ME. The only thing that stopped me from going through with suicide for a long time was "Oh, I have to see this movie before I die. Oh, I can't die until after Advent Children is out (I know, pathetic :D)." Stuff like that. I had a date scheduled for when I was going to commit suicide. I probably would have tried it a lot sooner if not for those things that I thought I had to see before i died.

Long story short, something forced my hand and I tried sooner than I planned, and got caught at it and sent to the hospital for a while. But that's besides the point. The point is that in certain circumstances "[insert show/movie/whathaveyou here] saved my life" can be a true statement. Maybe someone was doing the same thing I was, waiting until they saw what they were looking forward to before going through it, and that wait was enough to have someone get them help. Maybe something, no matter how cliched it sounds, in that show/anime/movie triggered something in them that made them realize "oh shit, I can't die. I have too much to live for". You don't know. I don't know.
