I don't think anyone monitors this very closely. In theory, you absolutely can post an explicit story on FFn and not have it immediately removed. It's just that the rule itself is annoying&you have no guarantee that your fanfic doesn't just randomly get deleted one day. And I'm saying this as someone who neither writes nor (as a rule) reads anything E-rated.

Yeah there is one really shitty Buffy-SG1 (allegedly SG1 anyway) crossover fic that is seriously heavy on the porn but is still being posted to FF.N anyway.
