People who love crossovers seem to just kind of love crossovers, while people who hate crossovers seem to HATE CROSSOVERS OMG. There is no software in the world that is going to make both happy.

On the other hand, since I'm in the later category, I'd like AO3 a whole lot more if they had an 'exclude crossovers' ticky option or something. It's not like I was gonna read them anyway.

This. I don't ~hate~ crossovers, I just have zero interest in reading them and in some fandoms nine out of ten fics are crossovers. I also wish I could filter out modern AUs for my non-modern fandoms. Like, jfc, I'm looking for A Song of Ice and Fire fanfic, why would I want to read high school or college or coffeeshop or business AUs?

DA

I get a bit irritated when I come across those kinds of AUs fir ASOIAF, not gonna lie. I mean the series has such a fantastic playground, many themes and characters you can explore and yet people plop them into highschool.
