THIS. I thought for a moment that's where they were going with Paige's son, but no, he's just "smart", and that's enough to make his poor, average-IQ mother completely unable to relate to him... ~_~

Just like my mother was unable to relate to me? Just like I am unable to completely relate to most people in the world? I have gone to shrinks, I have been tested in all the ways you could think of, and the only thing that is setting me apart is my intelligence, so yes that does happen in real life to.

Fair enough. Though, as I stated above, this isn't presented as a one-off case, it's flat out said that intelligent people are all socially awkward/stunted.
