(Anonymous) 2014-10-08 11:00 am (UTC)(link)I used to think my fandom was amazing and no one could ever write horrible crap for it, and that due to its lack of popularity, it was safe from the character-raping keyboard of a crazed fan. Then it got taken over by hypersensitive catgirls and weeaboos, dull plotlines and love fests to bishonen assholes. And nobody wanted to hear about how much their darling little turds weren't the nuggets of gold they were certain they had laid. And don't get me started on the hilariously godawful RP.
You give it time. It'll happen. If it doesn't, it just means the series ended prematurely.

(Anonymous) 2014-10-08 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)Which is basically the point I made? Tiny fandoms can have mostly good fics. If they reach the point where they stop being tiny fandoms, there's a good chance the crap will start flowing in. If they stay tiny, they can stay mostly good.
