3. The College Program was amazing. For me, it was actually life-changing. I'm a life-long Disney fan, and it was a dream come true. I will say this, though: be prepared to work your ass off, and be prepared for a lot of crap and drama. I have seen more people disappointed by the program because they weren't prepared for that. Go out, be a good cast member, and make the magic for guests to the best of your ability. And have fun with it. If you're having fun, the guests are having fun, and that's what makes a good CM. Make the most of your program - work hard, and balance it out by playing hard. You get free admission, so don't waste it! ;)

Crap and drama, got it. XD A friend of mine who did it in spring was blogging her whole experience, crap and drama included, so I guess I'm as prepared for that as I can be.

I'll do my best~

It may be Disney, but it's a workplace, and that includes all the work politics that come with it. Multiplied by college students and theater people. XD The best advice I can give is to just not let that get to you - remind yourself that you're there to make a guest's day fun, then go out and do it. It'll be fun for you, too, and it'll help keep your spirits up on the job. :D

I did the Disney summer program back in summer 2001, and I have to chime in with it being an amazing experience. I loved every minute of it, even when I was working incredibly hard. I worked in food service, which is never all that much fun, but you get to meet a lot of really nice people, both other cast members and guests. Just go with a good attitude, and be determined to get the most out of your experience. Take advantage of extra trips they take, go places like Universal Studios and Sea World on your day off (don't be afraid to go by yourself, you'd be amazed how many people will just randomly start talking to you in line if they realize you're alone), and spend a lot of time in the parks! I worked in the Magic Kingdom, and I used to go there on my days off and just wander the park, stopping to help people who looked lost or bored or whatever, just for the fun of it. And of course, I had friends in the other parks that could get me good seats for things, so I used to take advantage of that as well. Yeah, I was sorta broke a lot of the time, because you really don't make much money, and I was lonely on occasion, but it was the best summer I've ever had, and I'll never forget what an awesome time I had. Good luck, I hope you love it as much as I did!
