I think kids have a thing about beards. When I had a beard, my nieces and nephews wouldn't go near me, and when I shaved it off, they were all fine again.

Maybe the uncle is a creepy guy and deserves distrust, I know people lime that, but I came away feeling a little sorry for him...

Man, I don't know what to say to this. On one hand, I take kid's reaction and judgement of adults as a tell to consider, but on the other you have your uncle having an unfortunate face he's not responsible for D:

After some Googling, I was able to determine that you apparently mean the 2003 film Wrong Turn, yes? I'll check it out.

Sorry to hear that you're having nightmares. That must be hard. I hope they go away.
