Seriously, reading comprehension skills are really important in life no matter what field you go into, and if yours are this poor, it's going to be a major obstacle in communications. Working to improve them would be all to your benefit, and best of all, it would keep you out of awkward situations where you keep misreading things and then getting mad when people expect to you to understand that words mean things.

Neither of those is "it's bad a thing she's going to prison". As others have pointed out to you, feeling sorry for someone doesn't mean you don't think they ought to be punished.
