I don't really care to be honest. I mean, I change the appearance of my companions in SWTOR and some of them or kinda sorta supposed to non-white. I mostly do it cause I like specific looks, like, say, Mako's implants and hair.

But, I don't play DA, so, IDK.

Yeah, but if you're talking about the mods I'm thinking of, those are built into the game. I find that a little bit different than user-created mods, especially when a lot of them are more problematic IMO. The built-in SWTOR mods also, AFAIK, allow various racial options for every companion (that's human, at least!), whereas user mods are based on individual's biases. (Not to say that game designers don't have biases, either, but they seem to have decided on allowing people to choose different looks for their companion characters.)
