If I wanted only a movie, I'd watch a movie. A game isn't only the plot. Especially in RPGs where you can get different dialogue by doing certain things at certain times or talking to certain people. Most RPG LPs won't cover every single instance of these.

Yes, exactly. This seems to be the thing that people who prefer LP over gaming don't get, some games are different every playthrough, there can't be one LP of for example Skyrim or Mass Effect or Dragon Age that shows "how the game is done".
