It's possible that she had Bell's Palsy previously and that's why it's easier for her to smile crookedly. I had it about ten years ago and my smile is still crooked - though not that intensely. I have to concentrate in order to make it even.

Right. Bell's Palsy. Alexis Denisoff had it, too. And that's a reason I wondered why she had something wrong with her (admittedly pretty) face. (Not the Original Anon here. Just the first responder.)

Wow, Bell's palsy - read about it just now, and it fits precisely for what I had as a young teen, almost 20 years ago. Doctors never put a diagnosis on it or treated it in any way - they just said it probably disappeared on its own over time.
I had it in both sides of the face, and yes, I mostly got normal movement back, but I still can't move my left eyebrow and if I close just my left eye for a longer time, I get pain and almost cramp in that side of the face. Well, nice to know what it was, at least.
