Holy wall of text for a secret that amounts to "people think I hate female characters, but really I just hate love interests." And really s there a reason you can't just say that to the people who are so grossly misinterpreting your ire?

Maybe they're insecure about their lack of romantic experience.

I know I am.

That plays a big part, I'll admit. Because if I say that I can't relate to someone whose vast majority of scenes are romantic because I've never experienced romance myself, I feel like people will dismiss my opinion out of hand as petty jealousy. Or they'll say "How would YOU know anything about it when you've never experienced it?"

But why the need to go into a treatise about a lack of experience at all? You (general you) don't like female characters who are only love interests. The rest is unnecessary, but if more explanation is needed, just talk about the lack of what you do want. Like "I hate x because they're not y"
