(Anonymous) 2014-10-14 02:24 am (UTC)(link)I doubt I'd enjoy a gender flipped variant any more though. It's lazy storytelling either way. Characters who take up the most screen time/spend a lot of time with the main character should get as much development as the protagonist, but so often all they are is ciphers. Comic relief side kicks, brainless moods, and square jawed action heroes are just as annoying. Show us why the protagonist gives a fuck instead of just labeling her "the girlfriend."
