Close? STID is the abbreviation for Sexually Transmitted Infectious Diseases, which is the less common term. :)

haha, it's a mashup of STD and STI for those who can't decide which one to use.

(which one is the "right" one now, anyone know? I was taught "STD" in school but now I see the other one a lot)

STI is more sensitive, I think? Because saying someone has an infection is different from saying they have a disease.
