Some of them will just show up as blocks on my phone. It makes for a nice break in reading when suddenly the characters look like they're talking in robot.

If a translation isn't going to pop up in an author's note, I do prefer romanizations(or whatever it's called when you use latin alphabet) too, just so I know what something sounds like. Otherwise it's just decorative, and I start humming the sax part of "Talk dirty to me" since that's what I tend to think the author was going for.
