Re: Has anyone ever written slash or femslash fic of this scenario?

I don't know. Writing a story is very, very different from describing an idea.

I suppose so, but as someone who regularly fills prompts in their fandom, it's extremely off-putting to have an overly detailed prompt. It feels like there's no creative freedom for me to interpret the prompt at that point; I'm painting in someone else's numbers. My gut reaction is "well, why not write this yourself, then - you seem to have it all thought out". I'm friends with a few of the other regular fillers and they all feel the same way. At this point, looking the meme, it's the detailed to the point of synopsis prompts that are largely unfilled, so I'd imagine that's a common sentiment. Even if you "can't write", well, everybody starts somewhere. You have inspiration for a fic, clearly, not just a vague idea - why not try having a go?

DA

I don't give detailed prompts for exactly those reasons, even if I have thought out the story way too much. But sometimes being able to string a sentence together myself isn't good enough. I could spit out a shitty fic for just about any of my ideas, and it wouldn't make me happy. I'd still post a (vague) prompt about it in the hopes that someone could do it better than I did, in a way I haven't thought of.

I always assumed the "detailed to the point of synopsis" prompts were more suggestions about the stuff that could happen to flesh out the idea, not "I need all of this to happen." I guess it depends on the prompt, though.
