I wouldn't say that it's "creepy" to wear a costume around the house for oneself, though. To each their own. Though I personally feel rather silly doing so, especially when it comes to things like "I didn't do a pro shoot in this costume at the con, so I guess I'll take some pics in the back yard for a more scenic location than my living room" or something, and I go out there and the neighbors are out in their driveway. I mean, fortunately one of my neighboring houses is home to a bunch of lesbian roller derby girls, one of whom has a mohawk, so they're totally cool with me being out there dressed up oddly. The ones on the other side, though... I'm sort of wishing someday they'd just ask so I could explain that I'm not doing anything super crazy - costuming is just a hobby of mine and I'm trying to take some photos to show off my creativity. XD
