2. I think you're either looking at the wrong pictures, or you just don't get it, or it may be that all you've seen are the bad ones. Lolita fashion IS overpriced, but I think some of it are really pretty and people can be twenty+ AND look really cute/young at the same time. But whatever~ Not gonna touch this.

Of course there's an upside to everything, I won't deny that. If Loli fashion were ALL bad, this secret wouldn't have been made to begin with. Still, I think this is one of those cases where the "Urgh, fuck?" outweighs the good. Point of fact: those people in the pics? Aren't the generic bad lolis you laugh about at cons. Someone actually thought they were good enough to put their imeges in some sort of publication.

Oh, then I see your point. I thought you meant that it's all bad, no matter what gems people may find in it. But I think the lolita fashion itself is something that's hard to nail down, and even those that are really into it &have been for a long while misses the mark sometimes. It's very uhhh, what's the word, exclusive? because not everyone can look good in it and yeah, I dunno. I thought the first outfit was decent (and more dandy than lolita tbh), but the last two were just blah what was the publisher thinking kinda thing. D:

XD Kera Snap (which is what the OP pulled this from, I think) has...interesting taste sometimes. They've printed some real failures before.

There's this one Mana cosplayer in an issue from a couple years ago who's...the stuff of nightmares, really.

Yeah, I never get those girls anyway. It's like they put the Japanese (or anyone Asian, sometimes lkajfa) on a higher level than everyone else when... they fail sometimes &miss the mark. And the funny thing is, sometimes, the ones saying it are not even Japanese or Asian laksjflajf.

Oh? I haven't seen that one. The only Mana cosplayers I've seen are... the one who end up on cosfucks, ahaha.

And, honestly? MOST of the ones saying it aren't Asian. XD

He/she/it (you can never tell with Manatards XD) is on Avant Gauche (http://avantgauche.co.uk/Gallery/index.html)...somewhere. I'm looking through the Kera Snaps, but I can't find the specific ones. There are some real gems of Italoli-dom, though.

Avant Gauche is actually a really good resource, especially if you're looking for pictures of certain brands. But the Kera Snap stuff is pretty...laughable. Laughable and then cry-able.

Sure thing! I love the Dandy style, but I don't have the right face for it. |D;; I've got a really round face and I already look quite a bit younger than I am, so Lolita's a perfect fit, really.
