Note that those are what other people said about his books, not him. John Green is an outspoken activist for LGBT and women's rights and will be the first to say that his writing is flawed and say that he isn't the savior of YA.

Also, he's a huge fan of JKKR and defending Stephanie Meyer and got heat for it, so it might actually do better to do some research before you use examples?

If you could please point out the text from my reply where I said anything about him?

I was speaking only of the backlash against the media for the media saying his books were somehow better because of his gender and promoting/advertising them that way. If I remember correctly, he was speaking out against the special label himself and trying to point out that they were insulting all YA lit by saying he was somehow more legitimate than the greats he admired.

(Personally, I remember Sick Tragic Terminal Teens In Love being a huge YA genre back about 20 years ago, so I was a little confused as to why it was suddenly something new and unusual. A friend had a whole stack of them. Diabetes teens, every flavor of cancer teens, cystic fibrosis teens...)
