I can sort of see how you would...but honestly the implications of it would really unsettle me for myself.

Can you explain? I don't even know what this is from, so if someone said that to me, I wouldn't get the reference at all.

(Anonymous) 2014-10-22 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
It's from Agents of Shield. That character has brain damage and he talks to his coworker who is not there, and she completes his sentences when he can't articulate what he wants to say.

I'm not sure I get this secret, tho, so if anyone wants to jump in and explain.....

SPOILERS, obviously.

It's from Agents of SHIELD. Basically he's incredibly smart, but his brain has been damaged by hypoxia, which he suffered when someone tried to kill him and his colleague (Simmons). He now sorts of imagines/hallucinates her (though he's aware it's not real), but all in all it's very sad and painful to see.

No, she didn't. She's undercover (though he originally thinks she abandoned him).

*wibbles* ahmygawd, even sadder.

(I guess I'm going to have to watch this after all. I am a sucker for that sort of misery.)

I's quite good. It takes a few episodes to get into it, imho, but the plots sort of ends up weaving together nicely and they do a lot of character development. Even the villain are interesting. But hey, I'm biased on Marvel.

tbh we watched the first few eps and ... it kinda fell off the rotation. But I keep hearing that S2 is much more interesting (not to mention there were Peggy and Howling Commando flashbacks, big plus in my book), so ...

Yes, it does get better! And yes it has Peggy and the Howling commando's.

It got really good after Captain America 2 came out and it followed the big storyline in that movie.

I tried to watch it when it first started airing, and I made it through three episodes before my friends and I decided it was actually terrible. I recently ran out of things to watch and picked it up again because it was there, and by episode seven, I was really into it. The first episodes aren't the strongest, but it has a pretty solid overarching plot and character development beyond what I was expecting. I'm glad I gave it another shot.

*nods* I'm sorry we dropped it. We have been DVRing this season, but I need to track down S1 (*taps foot impatiently and glares at Netflix*)

Hurrah, Fitz isn't dead? I haven't quite finished watching season 1 (two episodes to go) but I knew something had happened with him, since he isn't in the promos, but hadn't actually found out what it was (though I did go check out what the whole Simmons in Hydra thing from the promos was about because there was some serious WTF going on about that).

(Anonymous) 2014-10-22 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I might have to start doing this. I love finding the humor in distressing storylines! Thanks!

(Anonymous) 2014-10-22 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
This is both sad and sweet. Oh Fitz. ;__;

Awww Fitz.
