That was my question too, which ship?

Oh, Murphy/Billy. Of course. I just didn't want Murphy/the Chief because the Chief is actually mentally screwed up (even more so in the book) and it would be no, no.

I'm just up with any fic that has Billy not dying, because that was heartbreaking. I say ship away! If he's shipped, at least he's not dead. Young Brad Dourif as well, umf, what a delicate beauty that was.

On another note, I read the book after the film and I have to say the film is much superior. That book meanders like crazy. Fitting perhaps, giving the subject matter, but you can definitely have too much of a good thing, and the book had about two thousand times too much waffle. The film was harrowing but good.

AYRT

Chief/Murphy would be my second guess, but yeah, I don't think I've ever seen anyone shipping them? I remember seeing some Murphy/Billy fics floating around a couple of years ago (on FF.net mostly, but I think I saw a few on tumblr as well?) though, so there's hope for whoever wrote the secret :P

It's been years since I read the book ; I remember thinking it was fine? I think? But yeah, considering how different from the movie it was, I can see why the author completely hated the film. I preferred the movie too though. Such a great cast, really (though I'll admit, I have a soft spot for Dourif. He's precious!), and I think the movie did a better job with Ratched too.
