It didn't technically break. But it is running slow, the hard drive is full, and it is missing a few keys. And my school lets us take the loans to cover one during our time, so I figured it was time to get a new one. I didn't completely upgrade since I got the same model, but this one will have 8GB of memory and 1TB of hard drive space, so it will work better for me hopefully.
