And you're pissed specifically because he's white, when other (black) players have faced similar situations (as enumerated above) and gotten off easier than he did. All right, then.

How did you ever twist up that logic in your head?

What exactly am I missing?

"I think it's bitterly ironic and a bit sickening that a white rapist can continue to play for the NFL while various black players face the possibility of never playing football again."

ONE white player is what has OP so upset. MANY black players have committed serious crimes and gotten off easy because they play sports.

NAYRT

Many other white players have gotten off too, in fairness. Roethlisberger was probably the highest-profile player to have been in that situation before the current scandals broke out, so it's not that out of the ordinary if OP thought of them ahead of anyone else.

I'm sure they have. It's to do with being sports players. What's disturbing about OP's logic isn't that the behavior is acceptable, but that OP is specifically angry about one white dude still playing football when two black dudes are facing harsher punishments. Both black players, BTW, have definitive, incriminating evidence against them.

Have they? Michael Vick sure didn't.

His eventual outcome with the NFL was good. If we're talking legal punishments, then no, definitely not. There's also no telling if Rice or Peterson will play again, down the road.
