I'm starting to really hate how completely dismissing both sides of an argument has come to stand in for actually forming reasonable opinions on something.

usually, but in gamergate's case it's about fucking video game jouralism and nerds and it's been like three months. like holy shit, find a new topic to obsess about.

I dismiss both side of the argument because both sides have an equal number of fucking assholes who only spout bullshit and there is really no "side" to pick. Just because a lot of the supporters of either side are idiots you don't want to be associated with doesn't mean you don't have an opinion about the issue itself.
