I hate the myth that women are unfunny by the nature or some law, when in tuth the comedy is one of the most difficult carrier paths for women. It probably takes much more for them to become successful comppared to men.
And most shows, like QI in the secret, have only one female guest per show, or, as you say, a presenter...
I'm not against eye candy as such, but let it be both ways. As it is, guys have more freedom in looks. Their worth isn't tied as closely to their appearance as it's for women. But it's getting better. \o/

There's an opinion that women should laugh at jokes and not make them themselfs. In a comedy/funny show it's a double bummer.
