Frankie was the hateful soul of the show, but it's had it's moments since he left.

It's a sad thing that I agree.

Frankie Boyle was hateful, but in small doses he was actually funny. He was given enough rope to hang himself when he got his own show, though. Any more than a bitesized shock value soundbite of Boyle and he quickly wears thin. Such a pity. I hoped there was more to him than that.

Milton Jones is the one performer left on Mock the Week who truly suits and understands the format. His one liners are sublime.

I really like Chris Addison and his longer radio programmes, but Mock the Week is not where he's best.

I give comedians who bomb on Mock the Week a lot of credit for even trying. The format is a bit cheap and not suitable for everyone.

Honestly, I do think, yeah, it's just ultimately not that good of a format and mostly just survived on the strength of the performers and the very specific style of humor they brought to the table.
