actually it was intended to be a warning(/venting) post about how zoe quinn is emotionally abusive and should probably be avoided/not seen as a "pinnacle of morality" (which is how he put it, IDK anything about how zoe was seen or w/e before this). he never claims she slept around to get good reviews, and i heard he even denied that when people started saying it? but the cheating and the lying/manipulating/emotional abuse were real and apparently went on for like a year, and he has screenshots that prove it. http://thezoepost.wordpress.com/
like... i dunno, it's ridiculously wordy and tends to focus a lot on the cheating (which feels more like airing dirty laundry) but i viewed it as intending to be a "call out" post like the ones you see on tumblr now and then about bad men, oftentimes bad men who have a name for themselves like zoe did. i think stepping up and talking about her gaslighting him and coercing him into having unsafe sex and whatnot is valid.

but either way though it barely matters anymore because neckbeards have blown it all up way way way fucking out of proportion and turned it into an excuse to have their stupid misogynist crusade. driving women out of their homes and making bomb/shooting threats and shit is not about anything other than being horrible shitlords and the fact that they're still trying to be like BUT ETHICS is hilarious. if they're so concerned about ethics in gaming journalism, why don't they have anything to say about the guys she slept with?

The fact that her boyfriend refused to apologize for the fact that his actions dragged many women who were completely unrelated to their breakup into this mess, then insisting that GG is all "for the best," makes me take his accusations of emotional abuse with a major grain of salt. If it turns out that he WAS emotionally abused, then I'm very sorry about that, but that doesn't mean he's allowed to go and take out his issues on total strangers without facing consequences.

Yeah, this. I was willing to give Eron the benefit of the doubt and believe him. But the more he comments on this whole thing, the less I believe him.
