Same. There are many things -- actually I'd say the majority of things -- I watch where I don't ship a single thing. The few times I've tried getting into a series just because of shipping potential (generally because friends were writing fics or sharing pretty fanart...) it's failed miserably.

In relation to OP's secret though, my shipping tends to lean towards slash too and I do find I'm more likely to click with something in a male-dominated show if only because of the sheer numbers.

I don't specifically seek out, but don't mind male-dominted shows, because to me relating to characters really does not depend on gender, and a lot of the genres I like are traditionally sausage fests, so I do often and up watching stuff with more men.
